With an antiquated data infrastructure and a decentralized and siloed approach to data governance, Ohio University had a goal of making their data a strategic asset--including accelerating their existing analytics capability and cultivating a data-informed culture. Supporting data-informed decision making was critical as the university was trying to reverse enrollment declines, implement new student success initiatives, and move through a new strategic planning process.
This webinar features Loralyn Taylor, Ph.D., Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Ohio University, sharing how they embarked on this analytics journey, including the decision process, generating institutional buy-in, the importance of data governance, and promoting data literacy. She’ll also review lessons learned, as well as a change framework which could be adapted to any institution who wants to pursue their own analytics initiative.
